Knowing a person’s hobbies means going beyond simple factual information; it means learning more about their tastes, values, and personality, understanding what cannot be read on a curriculum vitae and, ultimately, better understanding who they truly are.
As a true geek, I am passionate about new technologies, their design, and their fields of application, particularly Artificial Intelligence. As a good geek, I am also an avid reader of scientific articles of all kinds, from medicine to linguistic arts and beyond… to the point where I can spend entire days devouring one article after another.
I love cooking and enjoying a good feast, which my silhouette will gladly confirm.
But it is not about eating just anything in huge quantities; cooking is an art in its own right, and the greatest chefs are considered geniuses. I am, of course, very far from that level, but I manage quite well when it comes to our traditional dishes.
I am also a travel enthusiast, but the kind of travel that allows me to discover new cultures, new ways of living, new cuisines… I have visited Asia and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Now, I dream of crossing the American continent from north to south.
You might call me a purist clinging to the past, but I am and will remain an eternal lover of noble combustion engines! I find no passion or sensation in these new electric motors, which I call “over‑boosted hair dryers” plugged into power banks… Of course, the future of our planet is at stake, but we must be cautious about mass marketing that makes people believe electric power does not pollute! They deliberately hide the carbon footprint linked to battery manufacturing, which remains very high! Anyway, that is not the main topic…
Within this passion that drives me, I have always supported the outsiders of this industry, such as Honda and its extraordinary, very high‑strung engines, like that engine designed in 2000 that reached 125 hp/l in naturally aspirated form! A feat from another world at that time. I would also mention its engines powering the Type R versions or the first‑generation NSX, nicknamed “the Ferrari killer”…
I could talk for hours about this passion, but I will stop with a quote that I find magnificent and that perfectly illustrates my philosophy:
“You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody.”
The extraordinary ritual before smoking it, the entire culture and history behind great names such as Cohiba, Partagas, Romeo y Julieta… As a true cigar aficionado, I have my humidor set to the ideal humidity level, with some fine Cohiba Espléndidos, Lanceros, Robustos, and a few “unique” Behike pieces inherited from my late father, ALLAH Yarahmou, which he was meant to smoke at the birth of my first child and that I will honor in his place.
